Prepping for New Year’s with Maxi B.

I might be taking down my Christmas Tree today, but the Holiday season is definitely not over! New Year’s Eve is here and I’ve put together the perfect arrangement with Maxi B. Home to celebrate with all your friends and family!

Picking the RIGHT Bar Cart!
For those of you who have been following along for a while, know I have been on the prowl for a bar cart. I finally found this one from Amazon and immediately purchased it! This bar cart looked more like a piece of furniture rather than a bar giving me creative freedom. I loved that this cart did not have pushing handles or bars wrapping around, which provided an open feeling. It also allowed me to stack more items on the lower shelf and really get creative with the decorating!
Seeing as we had an empty wall, this cart

Decorating for New Years!
This is where this post gets really fun to me! The very first time I walked into Maxi B. I knew I would decorate my soon-to-be bar cart with their decor . . . it only took me 3 months to find the right one!!! Beyond their gorgeous home decor, they have the most unique glassware that I’ve never found anywhere else. I actually went back after this post and bought some fun martini glasses as well, that I’m sharing on my stories!
I am a firm believer in “the more the merrier” and went forward with that thought when decorating this section of my home. By not cluttering but filling the space, it provides a “homey” feeling that usually comes with time, but can be accomplished with the right decor!

Create this look at your Home!
To break things down to recreate this look at your home, I’ve put together a few steps on my thought process when putting together my bar cart:
- Find multiple types of glassware for several styles of drinks.
- Stack a few lifestyle books that match your color palette.
- One decorative item (pineapple vase) as a statement item.
- Find a vase or large jar to fill with flowers or cotton stems.
- One or two decorative hand towels in case of a spill!
- Bottle opener and a shot glass.
- Decorative Napkins.
- A few bottles of your favorite mixer.
- Cute ice-bucket and your favorite wines.

This post was so fun to create and share a new piece of my home with y’all! I hope this post gave some of y’all inspiration to re-vamp your bar cart with some new decor items from Maxi B! Be sure to tag me if you use these steps to create a New Year’s look in your home!
