How to FALL in love with your living room decor this season

It’s officially the day after Halloween, but I’m not ready to get rid of the orange! Personally, I love keeping pumpkins and orange throughout the house until December and then I switch into Christmas gear. Keep scrolling to see the details of this update to my Living Room with Maxi B and how to get all these items 25% off!

While I didn’t include a before/after, feel free to check out my Instagram post here to see the before photo. This whole living room transformation took about 15 minutes to put together. The best part was surprising Nathan! I asked him to come out after I put all the pillows and pumpkins together and he was shocked! We both couldn’t believe how much this brightened up our living room.
The Details
For this transformation, the only items I kept from our existing decor, was two white filler pillows, and the blue and white coasters. I have a tendancy to keeping everything in our house to nuetrals, but after picking orange as our pop of color, we found it warmed the space up! I want to dive deeper to share exactly what I picked out so you can recreate this look:
- Throw Pillows (blue and orange)
- One Euro pillow with writing (darling pillow)
- One pattered throw pillow (navy)
- Two colored blanket throws (one solid, one printed)
- Weighted pumpkins (one large, two medium, one small)
- Large metal pumpkin
- Oversized patterned bowl to hold pumpkins
- White Oversized Beads
- Marble Coasters (pack of 4)

Keep your base Neutral
When selecting our furniture, we chose to go with a neutral palette for all the large items in our home; couch , coffee table, end tables and console center. This allows me to add new pops of color all year long with a quick switch of blankets, pillows and little décor items. Since our home is a smaller space, the neutrals make the furniture seem smaller than it is and gives us more versatility in décor throughout the year. Maxi B was the perfect spot to shop for this mini renovation, and I had a blast picking items from their pillow wall!

Since we already had real pumpkins for carving, and Sofie likes to eat them, I didn’t want those up on our coffee table. These weighted faux pumpkins were the perfect fix for me this fall since I can reuse them every year! I picked out white again as the base, and added in a few neutrals with our contrast color, orange. The best thing about these pumpkins is their weight! Going up in size, they increase in weight which is perfect for a table used often so they aren’t sliding around. I also chose to use the smaller pumpkins as magazine weights since Sofie runs into those all the time!

To tie the couch together with the coffee table décor, I chose this large pottery bowl with blue polka dots to bring out the navy in the couch accessories. It’s just the right size to hold the pumpkins and elevate them off the surface to really be seen. These white wooden beads were added on top to pull all the pumpkins together and add in some neutral to the color. The last accessory for the coffee table was these marble coasters. I mixed a few of them in with my previous navy patterned ones that I feel pulled the look together!
