Trunk Club 3: Summer Style

Back with another Trunk Club review and this time I had a lot of luck with some fun summer staples that I added to my closet!

Starting off with a super cute striped romper with the cutest little bow detail! This under $50 romper can easily take you from day to night and would look great paired with a blush or black leather jacket and some cute block heels for an adorable date night look. I couldn’t wait to wear this cutie out after getting it in my trunk and loved pairing it with my favorite summer accessories.

Top: Navy Gingham Tank Skort: Leith Lace Up Shoes: White Arizona Birkenstock

First up is this super cute navy gingham tank that goes with so  many things! I am wearing a M here and it fits great and has plenty of stretch to it. This top actually comes in pink as well, so  I exchanged it for the pink color and absolutely love it! I paired it with this Leith lace up skort that also came in my trunk and thought it was adorable for summer, I love a good skort! I’m wearing a small in this skort and it fits great, but was a little bit edgy for me, so  I sent it back and got this one instead, its a little preppier with the tie detail, which I prefer but think the Leith option is a great one as well! While I wouldn’t pair these shoes with this specific outfit, I think this pair of birkenstocks would look great with this skort and in my opinion go with everything. I have worn Birkenstocks since I was a little girl since I have a wider foot, and kept wearing them my whole life so now that they are popular again, its fun to see the new styles!

Top: Striped Asymmetrical Tank Skort: Leith lace up skirt Shoes: White Arizona Birkenstock

This next piece is one of my favorites from the trunk because I know I will be styling it so     many ways and loved trying it on with this skort to see that it would look great with a skirt! This top was the perfect fit for me in a size small and hit my waist great on the higher hemmed side and the lower side wasn’t too long, can you tell I really am in love with this one?! The asymmetrical peplum hem made me think this top was easily over $100 but for $39 I had to have it! I know this tank will transition perfectly into fall and I can’t wait to create some fun looks with it!

Dress: Stripe Tassel Trim Halter Dress Shoes: Sam Edelman Krissy Espadrille

This dress was one of my favorites from the trunk but didn’t fit me right so  this one wasn’t a keeper for me in the long run. I am in love with the tassel detail and think this dress would be perfect for a smaller bust, but fit great in the waist and length. It has an adorable key hole back and the tassels continue! I paired my favorite shoes from this trunk with this dress to show a more casual look, perfect for summer trips or errands. They are a great look-a-like for the chanel pair, but are super inexpensive in comparison! I was sent a 6.5 but sized up half a size to a 7 to give a little more toe-room. They ran pretty narrow to me so the half size made the perfect difference!

Dress: Hinge Striped Dress Shoes: Sam Edelman Krissy Espadrille

I switched out dresses for this shift dress with the cutest gold sparkled stripes on a sheer overlay and includes a slip that makes the dress not see-through! I think this is a perfect summer dress for casual wear but could be dressed up with a slim belt. I’m wearing a small and it fits true to size. The top of this dress also has a cute little bow detail that hits in the perfect spot, unlike a lot of other dresses!!

Dress: Peony Striped Sundress Shorts:Topshop Ashley Denim Short Shoes: White Arizona Eva Waterproof Birkenstocks

If you click on one thing from this trunk, please for a good laugh, click on the photo above to see how I wore this backwards and though it was the worst thing ever! I guess I should look at the model wearing it first next time!! I do love how inexpensive this dress is, but as you can see, it was no where near dress length on me and i’m only 5’4″. I would’ve needed to size up at least one size if not two to get a long enough length to wear this as a dress, but loved the soft fabric and blue stripes for summer! I am wearing a small here to give you reference on the length and paired it with my favorite toyshop ashley denim shorts because I though this was a tunic!! I also got these white foam birkenstocks in this trunk and will show you the other color a little later, and absolutely love them because they can get wet and are only $40! I will probably keep both pairs, but love the white to go with everything.

Romper: B.P. Wrap Romper Shoes: White Arizona Eva Waterproof Birkenstocks

Keeping the best for last, clothing wise, is this floral wrap romper that is the most flattering/comfy romper I’ve ever worn! It’s currently 40% off and selling out quickly and for $25 I can see why! I actually snagged this romper in the pink and white striped print as well since it was on sale and can’t wait to get it in. I am wearing a small in this romper and it fits perfect and covers everything even on my larger chest so its a win win for me!! Showing another way to style these waterproof birkenstocks for a casual look and they kept my feet comfy for sure, this would be a perfect travel look that would keep you looking stylish and comfortable!

Shoes: White Arizona Birkenstocks, Pink Waterproof Arizona Eva Birkenstock, White Waterproof Arizona Eva Birkenstock

I clearly am a huge lover of Birkenstocks and had the hardest time choosing which pair to keep, but eventually chose the white foam pair due to that being the only pair still in stock in my size! I have went back and re-ordered the pink pair and would love to eventually get the standard white pair once my other older pairs wear out. If you haven’t tried a pair of Birkenstocks yet, I will warn you that until you wear them once or twice, the classic soled pairs do take a little warming up too to loosen up, whereas the foam cheaper pairs are comfortable from day 1! Since I have 3+ standard pairs of Birkenstocks, I opted in for the cheaper pairs to finish summer out with at the pool where I don’t have to worry about them getting wet and actually love using them as my shoes in the morning to take Sofie out since the grass is sometimes dewy!
