The Essentials for Fall Weather

Here’s to the first #workwearwednesday post!
I chose to share this outfit as my first #workwearwednesday post due to it being such a versatile outfit, which is critical in the workplace. Every piece in this outfit can easily be reincorporated into another outfit, which I always try to find when purchasing work clothes!
A little more about the pieces . . . the sweater: this JCrew sweater has been a go-to staple for my weekly wardrobe in the recent cold months. It is warm and cozy, but also stylish with the side slits and longer back. I also love the V-neck which creates a longer looking torso to my petite frame. This is a workwear staple that I KNOW will stay in my closet for years to come!
The cami is also a closet staple and I constantly wear it under sweaters in the winter months, paired with blazers, and by itself with denim shorts in the summer! I have purchased this Topshop cami in almost every color it comes in and have not regretted it as I can wear them countless ways! Also, for my petite followers, the straps are adjustable so I never have to worry about them falling throughout the day!
Now for the game-changer, these pants! Another JCrew purchase, and my favorite thus far. While shopping for interview outfits, I knew I would need a great pair of black pants, but being 5’3″ and more muscular than most frames, the search for finding trousers was not one I was looking forward too . . . . until I found these pants! I not only love the slim leg line, and ankle length, but the best part is that they are pull on stretchy back pants! Yes, I said that, PULL ON DRESS PANTS! I bought one pair for my interviews back in August, and by September had purchased two more pairs as I knew I’d be wearing them at least once a week, and let me tell ya I have! If you are in search of a great pair of work pants, I highly highly recommend these!
Being able to last all day in heels was something I was highly cautious of, but these shoes make that happen! I can wear this 1″ block heel throughout the whole day at work and leave with no blisters or feet aches. They are a dark grey color and go with everything!
Last but not least, the final closet staple, a Kate Spade black handbag. While I have many purses in my closet, I found myself looking for an everyday professional handbag that wasn’t just plain jane. This purse made me feel like I was showing a little bit of my sassy style with the tassel in the front gold accents. I have many Kate Spade purses and can’t say enough great things when it comes to quality and durability. This is such an easy purse to add to your everyday workwear to show off your inner fashionista!
