Christmas Decorating with Maxi B.

Christmas is almost here; we’re officially one week away! I spent the past weekend putting out our dining room christmas decorations that I picked up from my favorite home decor shop, Maxi B. Home in Brentwood.
Decorating for the holiday season can be so overwhelming! I know with this being my first Christmas, I wasn’t sure where to

For some reason, setting my dining room table seemed overwhelming, but thanks to the girls at Maxi B, this process was so fun and easy! As a result, I broke this down for y’all to recreate these

5 Easy Steps to Setting your Table!
- Start with a patterned tablecloth.
- I chose this reversible plaid tablecloth that pulls the whole look together. This set the tone of the dining table and helped me choose the color palette. The best part of this one from Maxi B. is the reversible action to a crushed velvet on the opposite side! Come the New Year, I will flip this cutie over, and be able to use it for a few more months!
- Add a festive charger.
- These red-lined chargers are the perfect holiday touch for Christmas and add a decorative layer to the table. They are so sturdy and such a steal on the price!
- Layer plates:
- By adding multiple layers, your table comes to life. I chose to use my everyday white plates as the base. Then, I added a second layer, the salad plate, from Anthropologie that have adorable gold flecks. Both of these plates double for everyday use!
- Decorative Wreath.
- While this wouldn’t work for every holiday, these tiny wreaths are so adorable for the Christmas season. Under $20, these are a steal and add a special touch to the table. Instead of adding one to every plate, I picked up two and placed them at the head seats.
- Festive Napkin
- I always add a colorful napkin to our table throughout the year, but to keep things festive, I decided to fold the napkins in the shape of the tree! It was so easy and I think it made the whole table!

All of these items complete the perfect table setting for the holidays. Also,

Christmas Color Palette
Since I pulled the colors from our Christmas tree into our table setting, I had to share a quick photo of our gorgeous tree decorated with Chic Artique! My family has a tradition of buying a new ornament for each other every year, which makes our tree really special to me. Since we didn’t have much Christmas decor, I shopped till I dropped at Chic Artique and believe this tree is my most favorite of all!
While we have carpet in our house, I was worried about getting a real tree, so we picked up this one from Walmart for $80. Its 6’5″, flocked and one of the prettiest fake trees I’ve seen for under $100!

Adding Pops of Red around the House!
To add a few other items around the house to keep up the Christmas spirit, I opted for these

To add some festive decor to our simple floral arrangement, I added two stems from Maxi B that included pine cones, red bells, cherry stems to add a pop of red! I also add a tin Christmas tree from Raine Brentwood and a hanging basket from TjMaxx to our mirror.

While I didn’t grow up creating table settings for every holiday, I wanted to make that a priority once I bought my own home. After doing this once, I know I will be creating holiday table settings over and over again! Here are a few other photos from this Christmas Decor table setting. Be sure to stop by Maxi B. Home to pick up a few of these festive items!
